A war in Greenland?
JD Vance made it eminently clear that the United States would be taking Greenland, but said military force would not be necessary.
In contrast Trump explicitly did not rule out using military force. Trump followed up stating "We need Greenland, very importantly, for international security. We have to have Greenland. It's not a question of, 'Do you think we can do without it?' We can't.”
For the US to invade there would be many indicators from mobilization of Marines, amphibious ships and special operations forces kitted out for deep Arctic conditions. Worse they’d need to occupy the country full of high powered rifles.
Stay tuned. One of these is going to pop, but which one first?

Christ on a crutch, this whole Greenland thing is starting to sound a lot like Stalin’s invasion of Finland, which the Soviet high command thought would be a walkover. Lots of Soviet boys never returned home and it convinced the Nazis the Soviets were ripe for the plucking
An opinion poll indicated that 85% of Greenlanders do not wish their Arctic island - a semi-autonomous Danish territory - to become a part of the United States, with nearly half saying they see interest by U.S. President Donald Trump as a threat.
