Mayor forbids wearing masks
Only thieves and terrorists cover their face, days Vittorio Sgarbi, the mayor of Sutri, a small town near Viterbo in Latium. Anyone who in public wears a mask without good and demonstrable reason will be fined, Sgarbi announced:
"...chi sarà visto portare la mascherina sarà multato in ordine alla legge 533/1977 in materia di Ordine Pubblico che all'articolo 2 prevede che non ci si possa mascherare in volto: 'È vietato l'uso di caschi protettivi, o di qualunque altro mezzo atto a rendere difficoltoso il riconoscimento della persona, in luogo pubblico o aperto al pubblico, senza giustificato motivo. È in ogni caso vietato l'uso predetto in occasione di manifestazioni che si svolgano in luogo pubblico o aperto al pubblico, tranne quelle di carattere sportivo che tale uso comportinò."
