The sheikhs’ letter calls for mutual recognition between Israel and the proposed Hebron Emirate. They commit to “zero tolerance” for terrorism, and reject the policies of the Palestinian Authority, accusing it of corruption and incentivizing violence through payments to convicted attackers
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told the European Union’s top diplomat on Wednesday that Beijing does not want to see a Russian loss in Ukraine because it fears the United States would then shift its whole focus to Beijing, according to several people familiar with the exchange.
The comment, to the EU’s Kaja Kallas, would confirm what many in Brussels believe to be Beijing’s position but jar with China’s public utterances. The foreign minstry regularly says China is “not a party” to the war. Some EU officials involved were surprised by the frankness of Wang’s remarks.
Wang is said to have rejected, however, the accusation that China was materially supporting Russia’s war effort, financially or militarily, insisting that if it was doing so, the conflict would have ended long ago.
During a marathon four-hour debate on a wide range of geopolitical and commercial grievances, Wang was said to have given Kallas – the former Estonian prime minister who only late last year took up her role as the bloc’s de facto foreign affairs chief – several “history lessons and lectures”.
Some EU officials felt he was giving her a lesson in realpolitik, part of which focused on Beijing’s belief that Washington will soon turn its full attention eastward, two officials said.
“China’s main concern in the Russia–Ukraine conflict is to prevent the use of nuclear weapons. Chinese leaders have repeatedly warned against not only the use of nuclear arms, but even nuclear threats,” Wang said answering Ukrinform’s Beijing correspondent question.
Addressing whether China wants Russia to keep the Ukrainian territories it currently occupies, Wang expressed doubt: “I don’t think so. China has consistently declared its support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and does not recognize the annexation of Crimea or the Russian-controlled Ukrainian regions as part of the Russian Federation.”

It is now obvious what has been threatening for some time: President Trump is fed up with Ukraine. Let it continue to fight without the USA if it absolutely wants to or, even better, let it surrender and finally deliver the peace that Trump wants. He has enough trouble with China, Iran and the Houthis at his hands.
It is difficult for Trump and his people to understand why the Europeans want Ukraine to keep fighting instead of (repentingly) returning to the bosom of Mother Russia. If an independent Ukraine is so important to the Europeans, then they should supply weapons Ukraine needs or buy the arms if they can't provide enough themselves.
Besides, according to JC Vance, little Ukraine's attempt to fight big Russia is futile anyway: so why keep wasting good American weapons on a loser and thereby unnecessarily delaying the inevitable? Iran and the Houthi war are said to have emptied the American arsenal, so we don't want to continue the crazy Biden policy of arming Ukraine and angering our friend Putin.

North Korea will send up to 30,000 additional soldiers to the frontlines in the Ukraine-Russia War, according to a CNN report on Wednesday.These troops may arrive in Russia in stages by November, “to strengthen the Russian contingent, including during large-scale offensive operations,” a Ukrainian intelligence document seen by CNN stated.Additionally, satellite imagery obtained by CNN indicated signs of Russia’s preparations. Ships previously used for North Korean deployments were seen in Russian ports, and flight patterns of cargo planes revealed that routes bringing soldiers to Russia were active.
North Korea had sent 11,000 troops to the frontlines last fall. Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed their presence in April, after previously refusing to comment on multiple international and Ukrainian reports regarding North Korean soldiers falling in battle.
This development follows the United States halting shipments of air defense missiles to Ukraine amid a growing Russian offensive in eastern Ukraine. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry, however, stated that it had not received official notifications about the suspension and insisted that deliveries were ongoing.
